JBA / BankSearch UK Presentation

A team from BankSearch (UK) were in the island recently to present their online system of banking solutions to the financial sector.

The presentation took place at the JBA office in Kingston, and was attended by several members of the banking sector.

BankSearch (UK) specialises in information gathering, analysis and presentation solutions.  This online system encompasses secure data collection, validation checks, distribution of aggregate information and a powerful dynamic statistics tool which allows the user to efficiently drill down into large data sets and easily present their results.

Using this know-how BankSearch (UK) works with the British Bankers Association to gather business current account information on a monthly basis (totalling well over two million business current accounts to date). This data is made available to the banks and government via its Business Start-up Interactive Database. Last year the Company completed the modernisation of the Bank of England’s online statistical collection application and are it is currently in discussion with the Bank of Jamaica about the possibility of a similar project here.

BankSearch (UK) has been gathering data from banks and building societies since 2005, including all the major UK banks (Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander, etc.). Working with the Council of Mortgage Lenders it collected over nine million mortgage transactions as part of its Mortgage Insight Data Service.
